About Andrea Ricci

Andrea Ricci has been the Resident Director of Indiana University’s Bologna Consortial Studies Program since 2003. He is responsible for all administrative and academic operations of the program in Bologna and annually teaches a course on the Post-WWII Italian film. Though his main activity is now concentrated on study abroad, he has kept his interests for film studies alive through participation in a number of conferences in the field. His Ph.D. dissertation, directed by Professor Peter Bondanella, was entitled The “Awful Mess” of Noir in Italian Cinema Between the Modern and the Postmodern Era.
