LGBTQ+- friendly town

Bloomington and the IU campus community are nationally recognized for our LGBTQ+- friendly culture, placing emphasis on inclusion and offering myriad cultural offerings. IU Bloomington has been named among the nation’s most LGBTQ+- friendly campuses, with the IU LGBTQ+ Culture Center providing a welcoming gathering space and events and resources for the IU community.

Bloomington PRIDE oversees the annual Pridefest and offers support, advocacy and education resources for Bloomington year-round.
