Nicolò has a B.A. in Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (English and French, University of Padova, 2016), an M.A. in Modern Languages for International Communication and Cooperation (English and French, University of Padova, 2019), and an M.A. in Italian Studies (Indiana University, 2020). Thanks to the European exchange program Erasmus+ for Studies, he also had the opportunity of spending one semester at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest, Hungary (2015-2016) and a full academic year at the University of Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom (2017-2018). During Fall 2023, he will be visiting scholar at the Department of the Arts of the University of Bologna. His dissertation project, tentatively titled The Myth of Raffaella Carrà: Female Stardom in Post-1968 Italy, explores how Raffaella Carrà’s stardom encouraged unprecedented and compelling embodiments of femininity as well as acceptance by more traditional audiences, still heavily influenced by the Roman Catholic Church.
