Micah obtained his B.A. in Philosophy and French as a Modern Language from Ball State University (2010). His research interests are primarily in 19^th and 20^th century Continental Philosophy, most notably Albert Camus and Jean Paul Sartre. He enjoys exploring the political and philosophical contours of Camus’ humanism, while also investigating the contradictions and post-colonial ramifications contained therein.

He spent the years of 2018-2022 teaching at the Ba Yi International School in Beijing, China. He looks forward to bringing his experience and interests to the French and Francophone Studies program at IU.
