Charlène is from the Montpellier area in the south of France. After studying languages and translation theory in Montpellier and Paris, she moved to the United States in 2011. She has an M.A. in French (University of Arizona, 2014), and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in French Linguistics. Her research interests include syntax, sentence processing, second language acquisition, and studying electrophysiological correlates of syntactic processing. When not studying or working, Charlène's number one priority is to travel the world as much as possible.
