Jennifer is a Ph.D. candidate in French Linguistics with a minor in Global Studies. Her research focuses on language policy and planning and language ideologies, especially in relation to regional languages of France such as Picard and Breton. Her dissertation examines how Picard speakers, activists, and others involved in the revitalization of the language act as agents of language standardization. Jennifer has a B.A. in Modern Language and Culture with minors in Linguistics and International Affairs (Kennesaw State University, 2019) and an M.A. in French Linguistics (Indiana University, 2022). She also studied Linguistics and Picard at the University of Picardy Jules Verne in 2019. She is currently working as a lectrice at the University of Lille.
