- Course Description
Prerequisite: FRIT-M300 or M301, or permission of instructor.
This course examines Italian texts of various genres by men and women, authors and artists, across from the 1800s through our current decade. Students will gain an understanding of the social, historical, and political contexts depicted in the works and during which they were made. Students will address both specific and universal questions to be able to describe continuity and change in key concepts (nation and unity; religion and family; self and other, gender and sexuality) and key issues such as (economic stability, social justice, and migration).
