Course Description

P: FRIT-F 250 or FRIT-F 265; or appropriate placement test score.

This course is designed to build upon the intermediate student’s existing knowledge of major French grammar points through intensive study and develop a more sophisticated mastery of advanced structures. F313 can serve either as a complementary grammar course to be taken simultaneously with F300 or as a springboard course preparing the student for F300 and beyond (including possible study abroad). We will sometimes supplement the text, Contrastes (Rochat, 2nd edition), with supplementary materials from French and Francophone culture and current events. Grades will be based on weekly quizzes, short writing assignments, a presentation, two semester exams, and a cumulative final exam.
