Course Description

In this course we will examine the point of view of the artist as well as that of the reader/ viewer throughout Italian culture. We will focus mainly on poetry, but we will analyze, as a counterpoint, narrative, cinema and visual arts as well. We will proceed chronologically, although, at times, we may follow thematic trends from early Italian poetry to the present times.
