Riley Grace received a B.A. in French and English Literature from Lee University in 2021. She is currently an M.A. student in French/Francophone Studies and is interested in the intersections of language and identity—particularly ethnic, national, and religious identities—in metropolitan France. Her research interests include how French language policy and laïcité inform contemporary notions of Frenchness; transnational identity formation and liminal identities in France; and France's regional languages and cultures. She is also passionate about fostering cross-cultural community in the language classroom and supporting students well through cultural transition. In her spare time, Riley Grace enjoys painting, traveling, and talking with friends, and she is always on the hunt for the perfect pen.
