Riley Grace received a B.A. in French & English Literature from Lee University in 2021. She is currently an M.A. student in French/Francophone Studies and is interested in the intersections of language and identity--particularly ethnic, national, and religious identities--in metropolitan France. Her research interests include how French language policy and laïcité inform contemporary notions of Frenchness; transnational identity formation and liminal identities in France; and France's regional languages and cultures, especially the Provençal literary and artistic revival championed by Frédéric Mistral. In her spare time, Riley Grace enjoys painting, traveling, and dabbling in calligraphy.
