William holds a B.A. in French and in Classics (University of Arizona, 2013) as well as an M.A. in French with a focus on Teaching French as a Foreign Language (University of Arizona, 2016). He is currently a dual-major Ph.D. student in the departments of Second Language Studies and French Linguistics. His research interests include discourse analysis, narrative, tense-aspect, and language-related episodes. He is particularly interested in how L1 speakers and L2 learners of French at different levels realize progressivity.
