Jake received his B.A. in French and Religious Studies (2013) as well as his M.A. in French and Francophone Studies (2016) at Indiana University, Bloomington. He is currently writing his dissertation on the relationship between Marguerite de Navarre's late verse and the tradition of the literary blason. Jake specializes in Early Modern French literature, with a particular focus on the 16th Century. His research interests include women writers, poetry and the development of French poetics, the body in literature, and the relationship between image and text.
