Sara has a B.A. in Modern Languages and Cultures (Università di Pavia, 2011) and an M.A. in Specialized Translation in English and Spanish (Università di Comunicazione e Lingue - Milano, 2013), as well as an M.A. in Italian Studies (Indiana University, 2015). She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Italian Studies with a focus on Italian comics and a minor in Art History. Her dissertation explores the phenomenon of auteur comics in Italy and situates itself at the crossroads between cultural studies, media studies, and art history. Sara is also interested in the circulation and reception of comics products, the intersections between fine art and comics, and adaptation studies.
