Graduate Application and Admissions

Thank you for your interest in a graduate program in the Department of French and Italian at Indiana University Bloomington. Here you will find listed all of the necessary materials to apply to a program.

The Indiana University Graduate School uses an online application system, and a link to the online application is located below our application deadlines and requirements. Please note that no separate application is required to be considered for the financial assistance of an Associate Instructorship (teaching assistantship) or other department fellowship opportunities. However, AI positions are generally not offered to new students who begin their studies in the spring semester. Such students are welcome to submit their interest for an AI position for the following fall semester. All students wishing to be considered for an AI position must attend the AI Orientation Session at the beginning of the academic year.
